ok the front end on the car sits way to high even with the enigine in it so i have an extra set of springs and im going to cut some off but i dont no how much i should cut off
The 6 cylinder thing doesn't really work, as many 6 cylinder cars came with heavier duty springs than a base V8 car. All depends on model and options. This chart may help explain this: http://1bad6t.com/Maverick/repair/coilsprings.html
ya ive asked alot of people about this and they said they had the same thing happen with their cars after they redid the suspension.
Is that a yes or no answer? If you had the engine out then it will take a few days of driving around for the springs to settle.
I have a 72 6 cyl.. after putting disc front brakes it sat higher... just like your picture...almost exactly! I cut one full coil and it now has a nice rake... perfect. Cut one full coil with a hacksaw or grinder...do not cut with a welding torch as that will heat temper and make them brittle.
