    Clicking?

I know you probably posted it somewhere before, but I don't want to dig for it. What model regulator is it?

    I've always use 6.5 to 7 psi as the rule................except Holley 94's and Stromberg 97's which are around 2.5psi. I just think 5psi is a little low..IMHO

Boy came by for his Moms B-day. I just finished hooking up another fuel pump and was getting ready to road test. He reminded me he hadn't driven the Mav. in over 2 years. so I let him drive.
we get about 3 miles down the road and I let him turn it loose...:chirp: all was good...(y)
we turned and got on the interstate about 6 miles from home. he was running around 68-70 when we heard a popping, slapping noise. the alt. light came on , it was the belt. motor temp went up to 225 so he shut it down and coasted for about a mile. fired it up and got off at the next exit. pulled over and put the belt back on and went on home...(y)
I told him, now I remember why he hasn't driven it in a while...LOL

Brought the 70 and my first Maverick home and started tinkering with it right off the bat. Pulled the alarm that was installed in it, replaced a 190 bulb in the front parking light, removed the vinyl top via razor, and vaccumed the interior out.

Verified it was still where I left it. When I return from vacation it will take it's place here, my new garage. The truck is on the chopping block, no horses means no need for the long box extended cab 3/4 ton. The Harley on the left is also on the short list since there's no need for two. Looking forward to getting started again and driving the car!:drive:

Put on the battery bracket I got from Craig yesterday, and of course this required a test drive! It was a nice drive, not too hot ( haven't recharged my ac yet ) and I got a lot of nice comments on the car! We should do a poll on what comments you hear most. The two I hear most are " Man, I used to have one of those " and " That's a nice car, I remember them " ! :thumbs2:

Took the stainless off the side windows and drip rails yesterday, thanks to Mav1970's tip on how to remove. It worked GREAT and was easy.
Thank you, thank you, Mav1970. :yahoo:
There is not much left of the 71 parts car.
