If I need a front pipe replacement from the manifold back what is the best solution ? I have tried welding on this one to fix the leaks but its so rusted and thin it just burns holes in it everytime the welder arcs I end up with an even larger hole

well I looked thru the parts interchange and was just wondering if the exhaust front pipes from a mustang would work ? you can get a front pipe still for them with the 200 engine , just wondering if it would bolt right up would save me some $$$ possibly if it would , I can make the pipe myself if I can just get the piece the donut sits on I doubt I can make that myself

I got the front pipe for a 68 mustang 200 , hopefully in a couple weeks when i get time to work on it again I will post results up of if it will bolt right up or if it needs some fabrication work to go onto the maverick , I will try to remember to take some pictures for reference

YES, if you could please update this thread with your findings. The Mustang pipes are so easy to get prebent. It would be awesome if they can be easily fitted to the 6 cylinder cars. Pictures would be great!

I'm not sure what the difference is, but Advance has a listing for the Mustang one, but none for the Maverick. I would think they would be real close! Maybe a Fairlane would fit? When i get some time I'll dig around for this. I'm going to be needing one for my 74 pretty soon too! (y)
