Not too much louder than before, it had side exit Spintechs before. Not too obnoxious, a little deeper sound than what was on there, a little crackle to it. Generally it's loud. I used the Car Chemistry two disc, in pipe mufflers, with no packing in them.
thanks for the pics... and yep.. I'm all about the go before I spend cash on the bling. Looks heavy'ish for a side exit type exhaust.. but what the hell ya gonna do for street car, eh? Plus.. you just added style you won't see every day..or decade.. and that alone is worth it sometimes. I really dreaded putting mine back to street duty and running 3" pipe all the way back to the rear. But hey.. at least all that extra weight actually transfers for better traction off the line on vehicles with lighter ass-ends. lol I plan on a stainless oval tube 3" system similar to yours but will likely do a flat or squashed collecter on the header to gain back some clearance from the car being slammed down in road race style. My side exits will also be similar to yours.. but I'll be running a bit narrower and more subtle oval style merged twin tube setup out the sides. I love you car simply because it's more of a "no-frills have fun" type of ride. They usually make for a decent "ringer" for those unsuspecting Camaro's and Mustang's out there too.
