Hello, I wasnt able to introduce myself under the post above because it said it was closed.

I made this account for my dad who loves Mavericks and recently bought a 1971 Maverick. I'm not familiar with Mavericks so I thought id ask for some advice.

We are getting ready to build his new Maverick but was wondering what headers are good, as in decent-good quality. Looking forward to working with you guys.

Welcome to the board. Use the search function and type in what you are looking for and all the older posts will appear. Personally, I use the hooker 6901 headers on my 302.:Welcome:

He has a 302 engine. I looked in search for older post about this but it seems like using hooker or hedman headers requires at least some slight modification to make them fit am I reading it correctly?.

We are from Northern California near Sacramento, thanks for your response guys

No issues that I recall with the Hedman headers. If anything it was very minor.

How close to Sacramento are you? I am halfway between Sac. and Lake Tahoe on Hwy 50.(y)

Cool! We used to go down to Rocklin quite a bit to go disc golfing.
