ok about 3 months ago I was just riding down the highway in my maverick like I do every weekend and all of a sudden the motor over heats its never done that before and its been rebuilt but only had 80,000 original miles shoot I used to drive it 50 miles to work and back everyday. So I let it cool and I added more water to get me to a friends house about 10 miles away for after an hour of waiting the mav started up fine didn't make any weird noises got about a mile short from my friends house and the motor shot a rod through the block by this time it's raining so hard you can't hardly see out. well the next day I pop the hood and start looking and my thermostat was lock shut and that was the problem and it was not even a year old.
So i'm looking to put a 302 in there I have a 74 maverick with a 250 inline what parts would I have to change to put the 302 in and about how much does it cost to get one rebuilt.
