VIN Sequence number... how close is your car to someone else's???

That's what I usually do, but there seems to be a time limit or number of edits limit on posts. It does make for a lot of additional pages, but it's nice to have an update closer to the more recent posts too.

The DSO (District Sales Office) on your sticker reads 84, which corresponds to "Home Office Reserve". It also looks like your car was Orange (61) and must have had the 3/4 White (HW) vinyl top? Much like the one in the 1977 Maverick Sales Brochure??

Looks like B4 to me. Wouldn't that be a Canada DSO.

Color is Vista Orange....the color I painted my 1972 Grabber.

hey thanks paul, everybody cant be right all the time lol. but ya dont know a whole lot about car just got it a few mouths ago, you were right about the orange colour. do you know about some of the other numbers i posted have a look at them how do you match to see if they are the same for the car.

 

D=Decade 1970
5=1975
D=Maverick
F=General Parts

9D6260=Engineering Number for Air Cleaner 96260, but the "D" representing a sub-assembly to the 96260 part.

Does that say 250/300 6?? And I'm not even going to try to guess the last bit, but most likely a Revision-"BB"? "A" would be the first revion of the part.

Oh, and thanks for trying to set me up with a blurry, double-stamped part number that's upside-down! I couldn't even tell a "B" from an"8" this morning!rofl2:

So I'm gonna say (and prepare to be flamed for) that it's a 1975 Maverick Air Cleaner for a 250 CID. Many parts got carried over to the next model year, so the "75" part may be perfectly original to your 76. I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone will chime in...

 

thanks paul, ya sorry about the bad pic my bad lol. i going to take a few more here soon a few thing that are missing on the car or dont seem right maybe you could help me out? one you should see on one of my pics its the streering wheel pic i think the vent is missing and maybe somethin by the ebrake. ill take closer right side up pics if you need hahah. thanks!
