curb hoppers 74 comet is up and running pretty good but is having transmission problems
it shifts fine with plenty of pressure on it but when youre just put putting around it slips alot in between gears.

it shifts great when your hard on it or when you manually shift it

as if you guys havent figured it out already its a c4
Im hoping its something to do with vacuum
what do you guys think the problem is?

check your vacuum modulator in the back of the transmission, I had to change mine and that solved the problem. Also make sure if it is vacuum type then check your vacuum hose. if not then there is an adjustment screw in the back of it just turn a quarter turn at atime in or out not sure but that changes the shifting

you had to look closely in that thread or you would easily miss it but I read that this problem was do to a servo needing to be replaced or was replaced with the wrong one causing this problem.

definitely try to change the module first. its a cheap part thats easy to change and it comes with instructions on how to install and how many turns should be right

Im going to try that first thing after checking the vacuum hose for cracks

I was just under the car, my modulator is the green stripe one. I have had it off before adjusting it years ago. I think Im gonna leave it for now. Rebuilding a 250 and the c4 that is attached to it. Maybe ready to drop in next year. I think I can live with it for another year. I just put it in 1st when Im in a parking lot or traffic so it wont do it.
