Just received this from the ebay people.

Effective January 1, 2014, program members must earn a minimum of $5.00 in eBay Bucks during a quarterly Earn Period in order to receive a Certificate at the end of the period. Quarterly balances below the $5.00 threshold will be forfeited.

Also effective January 1, 2014, purchases from eBay Motors Parts & Accessories will not be eligible for Rewards.

I can understand cutting out small users from receiving the ebay bucks as it is supposed to be a reward for frequent buyers on ebay. But why take out cars parts? Do not us sellers on ebay motors pay huge fees, the same fees and more as users of regular ebay? So why shouldn't the buyers of car parts get the benefit of the rewards program?

    There's a reason it's called "Flea-bay".

Car parts typically cost a lot and would earn a higher reward .... they are probably trying to push more business for your average household stuff. If you were to buy a whole car, I imagine that would be a pretty good eBay bucks payday if that counted.

My purchases on eBay are spread pretty thin. I think the biggest reward I ever got was less than $3. It has typically been little more of a nice surprise when I actually got one.

I've pretty much quit using Evil Bay. I don't do PayPal, don't want to do Pay Pal and am getting sick of their crap. I pay by US Postal Money Order but they make that too hard for everyone so I'm out. Sick of them.

Even with the higher average price of car parts overall, the seller is the one paying 10% average in seller fees, which is were the ebay bucks come from. This isn't the only slap they have made at ebay motors users over the years. :(

A guy I work with just sold a limited Gibson guitar - it went off Thursday at 12:30 pm at just over 1,500.00 - he showed me the many different charges that we was nailed with along the way and it was astounding - he took everything out of his Paypal account and said "that's that"
