If you go back and read his post #308 he sated he was blocking it and then going to jam it before hanging the door. I read that as in paint was about to fly on some parts.

I'm also confused as to why you seem more bothered by my questions than he does. Did I offend you somehow? I do this stuff for a living and was trying to pass on some of my experiance. No offense to him was intended.

No, you did not offend me thank you for asking I was just expressing my thoughts to you and anyone else on the forum. Life is to short to worry about old school and exactness. It will not exist in another ten years

Don't feel like you have to explain anything to me. I really was just offering some advice. From what I see so far you have a good thing going on here and are doing well.

I will again say, that in your post when you said you were going to jamb it I read that as in paint flying. I must have misinterpreted it is all. I do know all about doing what I call "busy work" when funds get low and there aren't all the parts needed on hand. You do what you can to move forward. I get that, no big deal.

I am glad you got my comments because I feel some maybe didn't and don't quite understand why another member is criticizing me for offering up suggestions. This is what I do for a living, building and painting hot rods. I am not saying I am the best, or my way is the only way. Just saying........ well I guess maybe it doesn't matter what I am saying.

    :D

I stripped everything out of the garage, cleaned, swept, and got rid of scrap metal and trash that was over taking the garage floor. I also went through and organized my tool box to get a rough idea of whats missing.

I am very pleased with the outcome as far as the garage.

    Funny story, a little relief...

My step dad knew for months that I wanted to get a new welder so for Xmas, they got me one. Well, when Eastwood send the welder they shipped a additional one. This, I didnt know of until tonight when my daughter, girl, and parents went out for dinner.

My mom asks me not to get a new mig welder, and I chuckled and asked why and she explained she has a brand new one still in the box in her closet and she didnt know what to do with it. So, she will be bringing it over tomorrow for me.

Also, Shelby CA Special tail light panel is 2 days away from delivery :)

Took of the trunk lid, removed the spoiler skeleton, and all the tape (worse tape ever to place on a car ugh...). Going to get everything smooth and down to bare metal and begin to skin the trunk lid.

Spoke with a local custom car shop owner today and he said I can come in and use his 4' break anytime. Going to probably head over to his shop Thursday or so.

Will the latch be located in the same location or is something else happening?

Filler neck and key holes will be in same location.

Overall pleased with the outcome. I am going to form the body to the panel so everything flows instead of pie cutting the hell out of the panel.
