Will swapping in 2" drop spindles change my alignment?

Car sits too high for my liking, and now that it is so high the tires rub the front bottom edge of the fender just a touch. Need to get the front end down where it used to be.

If I get the car aligned now, then put drop spindles on in a couple weeks when they arrive in the mail, will I need to take it back in for another alignment?

This is what it looked like two sets of tires ago. Now it rubs right there at that tight spot.

Why not just change them now, then take it.

Don't know how long it will be before 1) I have some spare change to buy them, 2) how long they will sit around before I get a chance to install them, and 3) I want to get the alignment now so I can continue driving and working out a few remaining bugs without destroying a perfectly good set of BFG T/As.

I figured you had them, or that's the way I read it. Do some lower valance bending, to give you tire clearance, get it aligned, then drive it.

Short answer yes. Anything something changes you should do an alignment.

    Thought about that...

Looked at it again and not sure if I have room for a 2" drop. 1" would be nice...

    What you think?

Go to a junkyard, get some spare coils, and do some cutting?

Can you still test that way after that rack swap? Looks like an 1" and a half to me.

    (This is me personally)

I do not like how the tires sit above the wheel well. I believe cars look better with the wheel tucked slightly under the fender/wheel well. This is IMO. When I am at the stage of setting up suspension I am going to have at least 1/3 of the tire under the well in rear, and 1/4 in front.

It depends on what you want it to look like.

I can cut coils, and have an extra set if I want to do this. In fact when I put the kit in, it sat way too high. I had to cut one off each side to get it all to sit level. Instructions are to have the A-arms parallel to the ground at rest. That is where I am now. If I cut anymore off they will no longer be parallel and my steering geometry will be messed up. So if I go down, it will need to be with new spindles.

What's the backspacing, and the width of those front wheels?

A touch too low for my tastes. Looks nice, but I would hate to have to drive it on anything but a race track.

I liked my stance before the suspension swap, and would like to get back to it again.

Tires are 225/60r15. BS is 3-1/2" ???

From memory, I think rear BS was 4-1/4 and front was 3-1/2. Sound about right?

CORRECTION--checked my website, front are 4" and rear is 4-1/4"

I would like the top inch or so of the tire above the fender lip.

Yes, pretty much like Dave's. Low, but not dragging on curbs and speedbumps.
