73 Ford Maverick, Nic Named Old Smokey.

This 73 Maverick was a 289 Hypo, C4 Automatic Floor shift with Bucket seats. Also had A/C and Power Steering. Engine was Salvaged and was a Recent Rebuilt,, as was the Transmission,, That was sent off to the Machine shop to be checked out, Engine was a Factory 4 barrel,, WE Salvaged the Trunk lid with Factory Spoiler, and Grabber Quarter extensions, we also Salvaged the rear Bumper that was untouched by fire, and was Show Chromed. All that remains is perfect Floor pans that are being used by Maverick Comet Restoration for Reproduction work,, and the front clip are all that remains of this car.

Okay...and exactly how does this belong in the Gallery??

Pretty weak reason. If someone wants to see junk, all they need to do is go to a junkyard. A Gallery is for NICE Mavericks that someone took the time & effort to restore (or preserve). There is nothing inspiring about pictures of JUNK.

@Crazy Larry That Maverick had been Restored not to long ago,, had a lot of money put into it,, She looked Good in Life,, and is Honored as she is parted out to save other cars,, The Inspiring things in Life is not always what you see,, but what can Be made of it,, We have restored Worse,, So to Us Professionals, That Car Hold Many Possibilities,, But Thanks anyways for your Insightful replies.

@JOEXR793 I appreciate the car's history. I'm just tired of seeing junk in the Maverick Gallery. I'm also tired of seeing junk at car shows, when it really belongs in the swap meet or out in the parking lot.

@Crazy Larry Imagine that,,, We Take what is sitting in the Junkyard,, or Under water for a 1/4 Century and turn it into these show cars.. That White car in my Profile was the U-boat.,,, But You don't have to go to car shows that have what you call junk,, or be bothered about 1 photo in the gallery,,, Click the Arrow,,, Some people buy a car and take it to a Show,, and keep improving it over Time,, and what there Budget allows,,, You could walk up to a Person that Truly loves his car,, but is struggling a bit with the Finances and Cut Him a check,, This way, Next year he will be at the car show with a Gem,, and You will be Happy,, See a Solution,, Or Have him bring his car To us,, and You send us the Money,, I bet that car will make you absolutely Happy as all hell to see it in the Gallery,,,,,

Yes, let me pay for everyone's automotive restoration. How brilliant.
And exactly how does lack of restoration funds justify bringing a piece of junk to a car show?? If you have something nice to show, by all means show it, but posting pics of junk in the gallery is ridiculous, and numerous people here have done it. I'm not complaining about merely ONE picture.

People want to belong to things,, The Maverick, Comet Pinto and Bobcat are a Community,, Having a car is the First step in for many,, They are Proud and Happy to be involved, Making Friends,, being Part of some thing,,! Many Cant afford to buy, and straight up Restore or have one done to show quality,,! But Help from Fellow Community members and advice on how and where to get things,, Is How our Community Grows,,! I for one am Very Impressed With these Communities,, and the People that are Part of it,,,! But Like all Neighborhoods,,, You have that One Neighbor that just a Little Out there,,!!!
