My 71 has a pan fill. It’s a little tight but really no problem at all.
Remove those button heads ( in the second pic), drill holes in the plate to match and bolt it on.

I only replaced the pump. Pressures are fine. I do remember needing a hose adapter fitting that screwed into the pump allowing me to use my OEM...

Take a multi-meter and check for continuity at each snail trail from connector to each contact along the trail. Pull the bulbs and check them too....

Honestly I think it's too thin also. Weak points would be at the mounting tabs where it bolts up to the frame.
If you are going to leave it sit long term you should add as much type F as you can get in there (overfill) for storage. More oil = less...
