1971 Comet Gt

    I saved a 1971 Comet from the crusher and want to know if it is a true GT have the hood with scoop and a floor shift with 302 and it has stripes the column has a ring for the column shift but it is turned all the way down and will not move to where it would normally be for a column shift. Is the a specific body code I need to look for or another way to find if it a true GT.

    I'm not familier with GT VIN's but it sure sounds like the Real McCoy. Pictures might be helpful (y)
