So's I been up in NC since Saturday helping my grandpa and uncle get the ol' Boss 429 back on the road again to go up to Carlisle. (man, that car is awesome) I left this morning to come home.

Got a little over half way home and while going though the little town of Ball Ground, GA it started spittin' and sputterin' and died. I pull off and park on the side of the road and guess what I parked behind? A Maroon '70! The rubber fuel line had a place in it that was sucking up air that I needed to cut out and I didn't have anything to cut it with. Turns out this '70 belongs to the owner of the restraunt I parked in front of. He comes out and about freaked. Said he thought he was the only one out there still driving one.

Long story short, the guy gave me some scissors to cut the screwed up piece of fule line out and then I was ready to roll.

I must of have stood there and talked to him for 15 or 20 minutes after I got the car fixed. It's amazing, no matter where you go, these Maverick people are always super nice. (y)

I told him but he said he didn't have a computer. This guy was probably in his 70's.

Would be stranger yet if you returned to the location and there was no restaurant and car there! Twilight Zone

Carlisle is a possibilty. I been helping my uncle get the Boss back on the road and he is planning on driving it up there. I'm thinking about trying to follow him in the mav, that way if something were to happen to the Mav (or the Boss for that matter), there would be a back up plan. (y)

    Good question, Terry. :hmmm:

I'm tellin' ya, since this car hit 94,000 miles a week ago it seems like it's been one problem after another.

Ohh well, I'm at exactly 94,600 now, thats a little over half way to 95,000. Maybe things will clear up then? :coco:

It had 91,604 when you hauled it to our driveway, and 91,636 on April 25th. Maybe I just drive the damn thing to much?

it was fate.....think about it.....of all the places you could have broke down...it was behind another maverick parked by a restaurant owned by a guy that owned the maverick

something brought the 2 of you together...go back and talk to him more....
