I was looking at some old photo albums last night and found this news clipping from 1977. This is a picture of the old ferry crossing the Chattahoochee river between Heard and Coweta counties. My granddad ran the first one years before this picture was taken. It was reopened in the late 70s for a couple of years, and my uncle and granddad ran it then. It used the water current to go from river bank to river bank. I remember riding with them when I was a kid . I believe the charge was a dollar to cross the river. I thought this was a neat picture of a Comet riding the ferry. Sorry for the quality of the picture.

Pretty sure it was the Times Georgian (Carrollton's local paper) My mom kept all kind of news paper clippings over the years.
