gas cap woes!

    i have 71 grabber, i tried two different gas caps, both are the ones that have the cable on it, it says autolite, but neither of them fit tightly , after its on, it moves back n forth grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! why? anyone know?

    The gascaps maybe for a later model Mavericks 1975-1977. I had picked one up for my ealier model Maverick, and it did the same thing.

    does anyone know were to buy the just the cable? I have a nice cap but don't use it until I get it more secure

    Could be your filler neck those bend from the pump nozzle pushing them. Also you can buy gaskets that slide over the cap to stop that.
