    Nice improvement.

BTW, about the "Maverick" emblem on the quarter panel, did some Mavericks come like that or did someone (you?) put in on
    there.

I thought only the Comets did that (but what do I know???).

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my Maverick.

    and more....

So far I've added new shocks ( the best money spent ), I'm currently installing gauges. I need a suspension rebuild and plan on buying a PST kit. I also have the spindles and disc brake set-up from a '77 maverick to install, and I'm building a rear-end from a '66 stang too. All this in preperation for the V-8 swap. Too much to do...too little time....way too little money!!

The baord has been a huge help....thanks to everyone.

    Emblem??

Not sure, it was on there when I got the car. To be honest I hadn't payed that much attention to see if others had it or not.

ok let me act excited! the car looks great! just like mine with big bumpers. the wheels look good too. if i didn't go with ansens, i think your wheels would be my second choice. the best thing about owning an old maverick in my opinion (aside from the almost daily "i love your car" comments i get) is the planning and fixing that we all do. who'da thunk because of a car we would all make so many friends? by the way, where in kansas do you live? i used to live in overland park a long time ago. still remember those smacks hamburgers.

It's amazing how much better a car looks after putting new rims and tires. Looks good, keep up the good work!!!

As far as them emblems, they were on the front fenders of the early Mavericks (70'-72'), and then they changed to the rear quarters in either 73' or 74', but I am sure someone else here could verify that for sure.

Those wheels really set that car off well! Looking good ,just keep at it and don`t loose focus on what you`d like the car to be when its done. :p
