well things have changed directions anyone have any idea what I could get out of this out on the market... 73 maverick, fuel cell in trunk new air shocks, recent dual exhaust, brakes, 9" rear, 351W engine runs well but needs shift linkage adjusted and an alt. missing passenger seat but I have two seats to go with it http://img96.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=296w.jpg http://img684.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=picss030.jpg
Need more info. How rusty is it? Built 351 or just a good stock motor thrown in? What kind of trans/converter? What gears out back? Going just by the pics looks like about a $800-1500 car without knowing any of the above.
You should never put air shocks on a Maverick. They are going to punch the shock mounts through the bottom of the trunk.
well, there is barely any rust. There is a small amount on each door, in the rear bottom corner, the size of a quarter its supposed to be a mild build, have no receipts or anything I have no idea about the gears or trans
Jamie...Are the shock mounts on mavericks weaker then other fords i:e mustangs ect...Ive always had them on my cars and never had any problems..
It's just a bad economy now, I might be wrong but I'd still say $1500 is pretty optimistic. Only way to know for sure is to put it up for sale & see what happens.
Yeah pretty sure I want those for track wheels for the challenger anyways and as far as 1500 goes, Id be happy to get 1200 even
Almost every maverick i have ever bought has had air shocks on them i have seen the damage it will do first hand... Defiantly not worth it. All the pressure on such weak metal.
