mechanic pricing advice

    i dont have the time or equiptment to do this myself and this ids the first time ive not done the work myself and taken it to a mechanic so idk how much they are ripping me off by or at all, but i need an allignment and all 4 balljoints and my lower control arms replaced and they quoted me around 500 is that too high or alright?

    Owning a old car isn't cheap, if the work is done correctly. You'll go broke if you have to pay someone to do everything..People have tried in the past, only to be disappointed, and end up selling their car for about half of what they've spent..
    If they are replacing the lower control arms, you only have 2 ball joints that need replacing, 500 isn't bad if they use quality parts, and do it right.

    it's pretty high if using lower line parts store stuff counting on 2 hr labor and 130 in parts wholesale

    With markup and taxes it still falls under 400.00 using standard part mark up and labor rates
