Hello everyone!!! My name is Shelby (hence the mustanggt350) I am new here. I have been searching the web for Maverick information because I just bought a 1970 Grabber. I have been in the car industry for about seven years now (Mostly Mustangs, switched to all Fords about a year or so ago) The Maverick is my first non Mustang. I have fallen in love with this thing. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and I am so happy I found this site!!! Later, Shelby

Shelby maverick? What? You are going to have to explain that one!!! Yes I do have a plan, it is a 6 cyl. right now so I am going to put my extra 302 in it with bucket seats, and I am going to upgrade the brakes and the steering. New paint and that is about it for right now. This is going to be my commuter car while my '91 GT is in the shop. Thank you for the welcome!!! Later, Shelby
Here we go again... There has been long debate on whether there existed a "Shelby Maverick". They were supposedly built in Mexico and a very limited run at that. I believe that they did exist...nobody has found one yet... Do a search on google and you should find some info about them. Anyway, it looks like you inherited the name!! Couldnt ask for better company... JP
Welcome. Only the crazies and the dedicated hang out here. Problem is, its impossible to tell which one we are.
Debate??? It's a known fact that Shelby Mavericks were produced under the flag ship of Shelby de Mexico. This was verified by Carroll Shelby himself. It's just that he refuses to discuss them & turns his nose up at the thought of them. What we don't know is how many were produced & where these cars are.
I am verifying this with my sources as we type!!! I will have an answer to you guys soon regarding the Shelby Mavericks. If anyone knows, these people will. Great... getting into a heated discussion on my first thread...LOL Later, Shelby
Hmmmm....looks like a barn baby...and a solid one at that...That color scheme is great. I've had my Mav for about 6 weeks now and you'll find the more you get into em the more you lovem. This is a great forum with a knowledgeable and helpful bunch of folks. Good Luck
The car is in Yakima right now, the guy had it as his daily driver and he was eventually going to make it into a drag car. He is a Mopar guy so I guess he just didn't want to deal with it. I got it for a decent price. There is a little rust but nothing I can't handle. Barn baby? not really kind of I guess, it has been sitting there for about a year. Later, Shelby
