I have a 74 4dr 250 and the radiator from it is going in a 74 grabber that had a 302--the radiator doesnt fit right? too tall and not wide enough? was their a difference? apparently there was but all the radiators i find new are suppose to fit either

I think he's saying the radiator doesn't fit; that it's too tall and not wide enough.

Is it possible that it is not an original Maverick radiator?

I checked the measurements on the 250 radiators and the dimensions are w:20-1/4 h:16-5/16 and the 302 is w:20-1/4 h:15-1/2

But usually 302 radiators are 16 5/16" high as well(this is the core measurement)... There were some with extra cooling that used a thicker 15.5" H radiator but AFAIK the two are interchangeable... Also there are two fan shrouds for but the determination of which is with/without A/C...

Maybe Ford isn't telling us everything but my A/C Comet has the 16 5/16 H rad...
