Has anyone on here used the torque boxes available through Period Perfect Parts Group? Trying to get a feel for how they worked out for you.

I think they would work just fine. The torque boxes come in (3) seperate pieces. You might find you only need parts of them. How bad are yours? Can you post up some pictures?

The left torque box is basically gone except for the gusset. The right one is pretty solid "so far" except for a small hole in the lower panel. I think i'm just going to order the left side for now. I have replacement Mustang floor panels i'm going to fab in as well. Looks as though the dash will be coming out to redo the seam seal that runs along the firewall and side panels. I only want to do this once!

I have them already cut out. How many do you need. $25 each plus shipping.

Take paypal and USPS money order.

I would guess fair shipping would be $20 each or $30 for a pair.

I'm seeing what is left of your floor and wondering if you have checked your cowl out yet by pouring a gallon of water down your vents in front of your windshield? My cowl vents were rotted and water ran from them to the carpet, rotting out my floors - but no where as bad as your's look.

I have planned on removing my cowl panel but not this winter. Floors and torque boxes this year. Right side is not half as bad as this side. I just won't drive in the rain. I have a new floor for the right side as well but may not need it, but i probably will so both sides match.

Do the cowl first, dont waste time and money. Its winter, lots of down time, well worth it.

Absolutely time well spent. I himed and hawed about doing my cowls, thought about sticking my hand up into the cowl vent and throwing some "band-aids" at it but once I set my mind to take out the spot welds and remove the top of the cowl, I got my chance to fix it the righrt way, welding in new steel and new cowl hats. Now I am so glad I did it. It will never get the chance to rust out again. Now I can get to my driver's side torque box and front floors knowing that I repaired the cause of their original destruction :thumbs2:
