73' A/C car vac. system. my car had 2 vac. ports on the...heater water valve... i replaced it with a...1 port valve. on the vac. digram they show...partial vac. and full vac., all on the same...brown hose.. being i have 1 port i would like to do away with the...Purple and the Green hose and let the Brown be full vac. to the valve. does anyone see why that wouldn't work? ...Frank...:Handshake
Hmmmm, and I was trying to figure out how to move the vacuum can to the inside of the car, under the dash.....
frank i dont see why it wouldnt work... because the only difference was the vacuum switch... but that is only useful with a partial opening valve... i say it will work go for it
I have been running with a single line for awhile. All it does is open the valve up more when the heat is in a specific position, ( I cant remember what postition I am at work right now so I couldnt tell you but I believe it is defrost.) otherwise I have had no problem running the $19.00 valve instead of the $89 one.
does the water valve switch have anything to do with why one is called full and the other partial? When I T'd it off I had no problems like everyone else.
alright this what we have come up with... the 2 port valve has 2 diaphrams in it and on line opens the partial then when you cut the vacuum to the other it opens the other to give you a full open valve... basically just an educated guess
Dave, i have mine behind the plastic fender liner on the pass side....i can get you a pic. if needed... it's a plastic ball w/oneway valve in it...CHEBY ......
