Just wondering.....but I'm sure that not all of you drive your mavericks as a daily driver. Here's my dilema. I need to have the car legal so I can drive it to the parts store and to repair shops, etc... as I'm restoring it, but I think it's a little absurd to pay for a whole month of insurance (like $130) just to drive it 3-4 days a month. Is there any way to get insurance that covers weekend cars or something like that? I mean it seems like they'd have something like that for car collectors and such.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I really need to be able to legally drive the thing, but I just won't be driving it nearly enough to justify $130 a month.

I have collector car insurance from Grundy, only costs $173 a year. You have to get your car appraised then they'll insure it for that amount. Mileage is unlimited.

    Thanks,

Don't know if this will affect you. I forgot to mention they do require that your car is garage kept and it's not your daily driver.

Mine runs about $12 a month. I am with farmers. They have a special rate for cars that you drive less than about 2000 miles a year. I have mine insured for about $15 - $20,000, cant remember.
