every year our magazine does an april fools joke in the mag.

one year we featured all hot rods in the readers rides section

another year we told all the readers that we all drive american muscle.

another year we printed the magazine backwards

well this year all the tech questions will be about mavericks to fool well piss off our readers.

    thats the jist of it.

they can be real or fake.

    a real one would be

I have one of them infamousness questions that come up ever so often. I have a stock 2 door 74 Maverick that I want to equip 275/60 tires on Cragar’s Series 610 15 x 8 rims. I done some research on the web but the more I went through the post or topics on this subject the more confuse I got about backspacing. Can you guys help?

You can get a 8" wheel on a stock rear as long as the backspacing is 4 to 4 1/4". We doubt a 275 r 60 will fit without rubbing issues, unless your car is jacked up with those lovely air shocks. Rolled fender lips is something you might consider.

    a fake one would be:

i want to beat every rice rocket out there. what would the first and best mod to do on my maverick.

anything like that i need six of them 2 long 4 short.

any ideas? either way i'll make them up if no ones got any.

I have a 75 Maverick. What is the largest tail pipe that will fit without body or ground clearance issues?

    Or...

Q:I have a 75 Maverick. What is the torque spec for the wheel lugs?
A:The correct torque setting would be the torque produced by a 97 Honda with cold air kit and 5.25" tail pipe.

Q: My Maverick has dual 3" exhaust and I want the tailpipes to be 6". I know Hondas have single 1" exhaust so their must be a 1"X6" reducer but is their a 3"X6" reducer?

Q: If I put 6" exhaust tailpipes on my Maverick will it make it sound like a lawn mower just like a Honda?

I found a totaled 03 cobra - the body is trash, but the drive-line, wiring, computer, etc are fully functional. How hard is going to be to fit all of this in my 73 Maverick? Will the existing mounts work? :slap:

If I install a hair dyer to my Maverick will it rev higher and how much boost will it make?

My 04 Honda Civic type R is constantly getting bash by my friend’s Maverick, if I paint it Grabber Blue and put on Maverick badges how much e.t. can I knock off?

I don’t know why I keep losing, my car have 5 gears and he told me that he only had 4.11 gears that’s not even 5, I thought more was better?

I bought a front and back full functional spoiler and I still can’t fly, what up wit that.......... certainly not me?

I like the post about the guy who painted his front disc calipers AND rotors REd and posted the pics of it asking what everyone thought about his mad skillz. pretty funny stuff (if it was actually a joke  )

    A. Dont get caught

    :biglaugh:

I made this one up all by myself

I think on top of the Questions, you should use some 'not so in shape' Mavericks in your magazine. It could be one month out of the year that the other Mav's get to have some glory. I think it would be cool to see some that arent totally restored, but have a good home.
