guys I put some aluma star wheels on my 70 maverick.the rear wheels are 8 inch wide with 4 inch back spacing.with 275-60-15 tires they rub when making turns such as at a stop sign and turning left or right I hear a rub but from my eyes view there looks like a lot of travel space between the fendet and tire .I remove the inner fender lips out of fear of cutting up my tires,is there a lot of flex when I make these turns? I do know the springs and bushing are probabaly worn out.maybe .would new shocks help? or do I need to go down to a 255-60-15 I hate to since these tires are almost new themselves

Look around under there and see where they rub. Mine were close to the springs so I have 1/4" wheel spacers. You should have at least 1/2" clearance around the tires.

i had the same size on my car. i had 1/4" spacers to keep the inside from rubbing and had to roll the fender lips and push them out. only then i had no rubbing.
