maybe some of us who know how,,,, just wanna stay old school, more fun that way, we dont all wanna be bill gates, your car is what you want it to be,
me and a buddy were discussing this today, hes rebuilding a car and wen EFI and I went all old school. He remarked how even though he spent almost 4000$ on one of those fancy schmancy self tuning setups with a wideband and some fancy msd igntion stuff and I spent 400 on the carb and dizzy. I had a baseline tune for my car in about an hour. Granted its not on the car yet, but my Ignition and jets are right where I figure theyll need to be for part throttle and idle. and I SHOULD be able to get a liveable tune within a day of running. I told him I'd tune his with a carb and dizzy for 500$ an hour Edit: I should be honest and say I dont have my WOT/Power valve circuit even close to tuned, but Im waiting on bits! and besides, it would be tuned if I wasnt turboing the darn thing
Deal :Handshake In all seriousness Id probably pay shipping both ways to just borrow the damn things given how I cant find anywhere near here that will sell me anything between one and 60 bits. Individual or all of them apparently Or ship ya 20 set screws and some cash ahahaha
I have a lot of toys and have been experimenting with all for the last 30 yrs. I like to change up and try new things. I was not complaining. Let me know if your in need of a carb or anything be glad to discuss with you.
Im building it into a blow through carb if thats what you mean, if you mean did I get a purpose built blow through carb from a company like Demon, etc, then no
Here's the setup I use for most air bleed work. Bought mine at the hardware store. http://www.micromark.com/the-rogers-drill-bit-set-61-80-set-of-20,8027.html
Thanks for the link! That bit set is actually a bit too small for what I need, but they carry a set exactly in the size I want. Im going over to a fastener shop on monday on recommendation from an engineering friend of mine, if they dont carry them I will for sure buy that kit.
It's not quantum physics here, just a simple carb. Pretty sure Carbs were around before quantum physics. If you understand how liquid flows up a straw when you suck on it, you've mastered how a carb works.
my intent, was not to insult you, i myself have been turnin wrenches, loosin blood, and patience, since i was 12 yrs old, but i love it, new things dont scare me, i have done that, i just like the old way, of going fast,to me its more fun to try different things, rather than follow the crowd,
