Ok, we got busy and did this to the Mav overnight, what ya'll think?

here's ET's: 5.50@125 1/8th, 7.35@137 1000', 8.86@164 1/4 mile. Seriously though my son's friend's Mom knows this guy who owns this and it got my kid excited, anyone know of or seen this thing run.......I know it's blasphemy with that chebby motor in it, lol.

He said he was turning out over 800 RWHP it's a 496

    Right

Yeah he is already ask if we could build the car like that and just have a race car...I said "son, what are you crazy, that car can't even be driven on the street, we are building something that can be a daily driver AND go have a little fun at a strip occasionally, if we did that you won't have a car to drive to your senior year and be cool" his reply:Dad just buy me a regular car like a NEW Mustang for driving!:shocked:

He just thinks my pockets generate money magically somehow:huh:

lol.. you know someone's a power junkie when their car has slicks and is parked on burnt rubber. I've only ever done one really big burnout down my whole driveway and the wife made me retar it that same summer.

Car looks fully legal to me once the tires are grooved(our cops just look for grooves and rarely check for DOT's even when they do get us).. and wheelie bars are marked and feathered red for anything beyond 24" off the bumper in our state. That car would get driven up and down the cruising blvd every chance we got! And when we could afford the race fuel required to drive it to the store and back. :burnout:

That explains why the motor rolled over on it's side in the photo...

Now that's funny! Almost spit coffee.

Then an immediate "Chevy vs Ford" retort of.. "it's too damned fast for the chassis" popped into my head. :D

Good looking car! I hate to say this but its almost refreshing to see it doesn't have an ls motor in it.
