Dropped the rear end yesterday and installed the front valance. Removed the heater core and rerouted the hoses.

Ok , the way it read I thought maybe you were thinking that you`d be able to work out an idle issue with the new jet kit...wasn't sure. (y)

Figured I would clean out the garage a little for the new building season - it was forecast for 52 today so I looked out the door and there is ice everywhere with 1/2 inch of sleet - the weatherman was spot on once again

I've got lots of work to do to get in suitable for driving. Next up is lowering the front end a bit... I want to get about a 1.5" drop. On the stock springs how many coils should come out?

A buddy that understands electrical systems way better than I helped install the Pertronix ignition in my Maverick. it starts a lot easier and runs way better than with points.

drove up to get gas...Guy looked around the pump and asked..."that a Mustang"? I said nope and continued on pumping gas. he then said..."I see now, it's a Vega". I told him it was a Maverick. he paused a few minutes and then said..."that's an old car, they weren't mussel cars were they?"
by then I was hanging up the nozzle and was getting irritated. he continued to tell me at one time he had a mid 70s Cheby truck with a 454 bored 60 over in it that put out 650 HP. it would spin sideways the full length of the 1/8th mile track. by then I'm in the Mav. driving off...:slap:
I showed him what spinning through 1st. and 2nd. for 150' straight looked like...:yup:
drove around for about another hour and half....:drive:...:chirp:...

moved the parts mav into the garage Saturday so we can get it ready for tear down.
also hand pushed carb hoppers grabber like 5 blocks down the street to a friends house so it wouldnt get all scraped up by the bad ass kids around here if it sat outside the garage
put my seats for the black comet in the white comet just to get them out of my front room today
