Whats your subwoofer setup?

I have a 10 inch sub but i dont no where or how i wanna mount it, as of right now i have it in a sub box in the trunk but it just slides around in their so i was wondering what your guys setup is. Plz pics if you have them. Just trying to get some ideas thanks.

 

Put L brackets on both side of it, and screw them to the floor to prevent it from moving around.

I'm planning to do either two 6.5 subwoofers in rear 6.9 package tray, or two 8s
looking to be either sundown audio as they bang, or Hybrid audio for SQ

6.5 in 6/9 hole would require brackets where as 8in in 6x9 just needs extra cutting/drillin

L brackets like mentioned would be best bet for a small box as yours

 

One single 10 will be more than enough for these cars. Really don'teven need a sub, just buy some mMemphis speakers and that's it.

 

I have 2-10" Infinity subs mounted in a custom box (2 cubic feet of air space, non ported) A Sony Xplode 1100 watt amp (great amp for the money) 2-4" Polk up front and 2 Dual 6X9s in the rear deck driven by a 50 watt Pioneer head unit.

Thats some nice custom work i like how you have the trunk setup did you do that yourself or did you have it done either way i like how thats setup

Life for any audiophile doesn't even start until you're using pre-outs and amplifiers. Bi-amping is the hottest ticket. Nice clean and discreet install there, Don.

Do you have crossovers to clean up(filter) the signals to each speaker? And might I recommend some dome style tweeters to help improve imaging in the front?

 

My setup is similar to Don's. 2 10" JL audio subs in a sealed box. Powered by a PPI amp. Another 4 channel PPI runs the MB quart mids and tweets up front and the 6" mids in the back. My Pioneer head unit has Three pre-outs that then run through the Pioneer equalizer in my mini console under the dash.

 

How did you guys make it soo the floor is flat, did you cut out the hump and lay a peice of wood over it or what?

 

Yes I just layed a piece of half inch ply on the trunk floor.

I bought a 10" bass station self powered sub. I put a strap through the cut outs in the metal behind the seat and connected the 2 end straps on the sub box to it. I then ran two small straps from the top of the box to the metal under the rear shelf. This keeps the box from sliding around. I then ran all the wiring in a loom and this made for a really clean install and the subwoofer/amp combo works great!
