My 1985 HO motor has a non HO firing order?

    You are wrong here, there were actually two HO 5.0's with flat tappet cams in 1985, one rated at 165 hp, the other 180 HP. It's in the book, "The Official Ford Mustang 5.0" technical reference manual. Not sure about the firing order of the 165 hp motor, but the 180 HP version used the 351W firing order as it used the same 351W cam as the 82-84 HO motors

    Tube headers were the only difference. They both use the 351 FO. Tube headers were later in the production year. It was not an option.
