New Outer Door Handles

    Thought I would share the progress of my outer door handles with everyone, Not a difficult swap, turned out to be pretty easy. They are from a 73-79 F-150/Bronco or Mercury Grand Marquis. Might be others that are the same but these are what I got. They work really well, cant wait to get the car finished to show them off.

    Different, not sure if I like it better then originals..... I would also like to see it finished to better decide.....

    I already love em, they are easy on my arthritic thumbs:) Should have a "finished in filler" pic tomorrow.

    I have also seen this done with Escort handles. The Escort had body painted handles.

    Amazing job :bowdown:

    I bought a pair of flush mount body painted door handles from a Ford Taurus that would have been very similar but decided to go the handle delete route instead :)

    How is it when you lock the door? Do you have to hold the handle up, like holding the button in?

    Nope, I have fixed the latches so that when you lock the door, it stays locked and all you have to do is push the knob down, and close the door.
