The guy that does all my rearend and axle work has these in his office. Name of the shop is Pyle Brothers, in Baytown, TX.

    Thought I would share.

Good to know guys who 1) don't look down their noses at you when you say "Maverick" and 2) do good work, for a good price, in a reasonable amount of time, with good products.

They are the ones who put the Tru-trac in my truck, and will be doing the one in the Maverick.

If I ever save up the extra cash for it...

I've used Pyle Bros before. They're an hour and a half drive for me, so we arranged a time that they could do it while I waited. Good shop! Scott, is that the same Mav in all pix? Do they still have it?

The way the guy talked, it is the same car, and yes, still racing it. It is now that purple setup.

I have had good luck with the guys, so far. And only about 2 miles away from one of my schools where I work, so I have to drive by it on the way to and from on the days I work there.

Number 1 reason I went with the shop I did for my exhaust work.

When I brought the car in they didn't talk down about it, and they didn't complain about the rust. They said how great it was to see old classics :)biglaugh:) like my Comet getting repaired.

Then they came in under budget, and that was after talking me into putting the exhaust all the way out the back for the same price as dumping at the axles. (he had concerns that the exhaust fumes would fill up the car at stop lights due to some rust holes. You know the things people that care have?)

Drag460...I live close enough to the Baytown track in Houston that I can hear the cars at night. Next time you are out here, give me a holler.

Pyle brothers came in under budget for my blown out truck rearend, too. They saved me several hundred bucks by re-using my old gears. They said they had a little wear on them, but not too bad. They would whine a little while cruising. But they said the whine would be similar with aftermarket gears, and the only way to not have a slight whine was to buy a new set of MOPAR gears, for $600.

They reused my old gears, told me I saved $600 when I came the NEXT DAY to pick up my truck, and lo and behold, very slight whine, but it has run fine for the past 50,000 miles. They even gave me a 2 year warranty on the job, so I have peace of mind, as well.

I trust them to do the first work on my Maverick not done by me (other than mufflers and alignments). I will be having them swap out the mini spool for a tru-trac, like I have in the truck. That helical gear posi works flawlessly.
