What is this part??

    what do you call the metal part below the rear bumper that the license plate attaches to. the wide metal part (very technical I know).. I got rear ended a while back and it mangled it, but I dont know what it's called in order to try to find it! thanks

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    That's your rear valance panel. They're not real easy to find for a 71 so I wish you luck. Maybe someone on this board will see this message and cough one up. I have a couple but I have too many of these cars to take a chance on parting with one...sorry.
