My original 72 fuel sender isn't ohming out...so it's no good. Not sure why they die like this. Is there a way to fix it? What stops working in it to keep them from ohming out, they seem like a pretty simple design
well, quick update, i took a wire wheel to all the electrical contact points and cleaned it up real good, and it's ohming out again! excited now, just saved $100 on a new one
I need a new float...I see a lot that look like they'd work. Are floats generic? Would one off a mustang work, or do I need one specifically off a maverick?
Any float that's similar in size and attaching method should be fine, just has to "float" If yours is brass, most of the time it's easy enough to solder the crack or hole...
thx, "looks" like plastic, it's pretty mangled and covered with tarnished fuel. I've been looking at the vintage brass mustang floats, and I think it may work...at $10 I'm gonna order one and try it out.
