I have been on the site for a bit but have never gotten around to actually asking a question so I thought this would be a good place to introduce my self. I have a 1973 grabber with what seems to be original seals on the windshield and rear window. Unfortunately it seems that water is seeping through on both on the window seals. It is the window, I was just wondering what would be a good way to seal it besides pulling the windows and getting new seals. I plan on doing it eventually when I repaint the car, but right now it's still original paint and will be for a while. I'm a college student and have had the car for about a year and have done quite a lot on it! Thanks!!
...:Handshake a new seal is the only chance to seal it. if it is cracking and hard it will continue to leak. even a new seal will not guarantee it not to leak when first installed. Frank
That's what I was afraid of :/ some one was telling me that I might be able to use a silicone sealer? Would that work short term?
from Wisconsin! New seals would be best. Silicone if you need to drive it while the new seals are coming.
I think the ants would like me too much if I used gum but I'll try to go to the auto store and grab some today. Now time to figure out the power steering leak
