    I am going thru the box of things I got back from the body shop to figure out what to replace vs what to keep vs what I do not even need. What are these things for?

    They were located on top of the rear bumper mounts. I have found a few cars with them. Really don't need them.

    I really don't know. My guess would be some type of rain guard to keep rain and water off of the bumper mounts to keep it out of the trunk. :huh:

    My car had those on the rocker panels by the door. I also found an extra pair in the same place on another maverick at the junkyard . Are they in the incorrect location?

    I recall taking these off of my car during disassembly - I think they protected/retained the wiring harness that led to the rear of the car :)

    Not the same thing Val that I was talking about.

    I thought the items in the original post are only about 5" long, and that is what I was describing.
