My boomerangs do not fit on my car. I got different ones then what was on the car before paint. I know the tail end down by the window can be different, square vs round. But I thought the top part was the same on all. Its like they do not fit under the drip molding trim. If you look at the attached file, boom1, you will see a pic looking behind my drip rail. Notice how the chrome covers up the knockout? Is this normal? No mater how i turn it, i can not get the boomerang to sit back in the corner.
I should have just fixed them when I pointed it out to you at the mini-meet! Ha, Ha. It takes some finesse....but you should be able to get them on there correctly. Just because they are different ones from what was on the car originally has nothing to do with it. It might require a new hole drilled at the top or the bottom....but I doubt it.
The screw hole lines up. It just doesnt seem to fit no matter what I do. Yeah, I almost went to borrow a screw driver that day and have you help me. Oh well to late now.
does anyone know how to take that chrome piece off? I wonder if i need to remove it then put it back on after the boomerang?
I have always put the top part in first with the quarter window open and had to use some pressure to sorta bend the bottom up and snap in like Dave says, but something about the second picture does not look right to me I dont remember it looking like that behind or under the boomerang. I know you are probably worried about scratching the paint perhaps you should put some tape down, how did your old boomerangs fit ?
