I don't know if anyone has tried this already but I put a 1997 Chevy C/K pickup pump in tank it worked really slick

Kinda hard to see in the tank but it sits just off the bottom. I bent fuel line so that it would sit centered in the tank then drilled the vent cap for the fuel line and wires then used panel bond to epoxy them in place. Also must drill the vent out to allow the return fuel to flow better.

So I take it that you are running a stock 5.0 EFI? Had you been running another setup previously?

I am running a stock 5.0 EFI with a lift pump and a pressure pump. I am not impressed with the noise and vibration. My thoughts were to adapt a factory 5.0 setup but this might be a simpler answer.

I don't know the flow rate but I will check on that. I was told about the ford dual pump but thought if I gotta put a pump in tank y not start with the pressure pump. I bought the car as a roller and have installed a stock 5.0 from a 91 grand marque so this is my first setup. I got the idea from a guy with a LS motor in an 80s Chevy pickup he said it works great and every parts house will stock that pump usually. Just in case u ever have a problem on the road u wouldn't have to wait on a special order pump.

is that the stock fuel pick up with the truck pump put on the end or the whole assembly for the truck pump?
are you doing any sort of baffling to prevent the fuel slosh?

Haven't figured out baffling yet. The pick up is hand bent 3/8 fuel line stuck thru the vent cap assembly with the pump on the end

Completely independent. I just capped the original fuel supply line and installed the sending unit For fuel gauge
