Floor shifter compatibility

    Looking to switch from column shift to a floor shifter on my c4. I want to get a junkyard shifter, anyone have any experience with putting in a junkyard floor shifter in? what car did you take it out of?

    I was using a B&M Megashifter and about a month ago my buddy put in a factory floor shifter that's from a Mustang or a Pinto.

    I got a cheap 71-73 Mustang one off ebay. Looks like the Maverick one except the shifter is not straight but slightly angled.

    To convert it you'll also need the lever arm for a floor shifter C4, the floor shift lever on a C4 is pointed up, whereas the column shifter C4 is "down".
