I will be adding more soon. I would like to take this opportunity to ask for some links or direction into where the best (inexpensive) place to buy rims. I have not decided on size yet but will not be any bigger that a 17". Also may a place to get new windshield, dashpad, and maybe some door panel ideas. It has been probably 25 yrs since I have tooled this much on a car. I have made some mistakes but for the most part doing pretty good. I swapped from power steering to manual. Kept the power gear box!! I am doing the granada front disc brake swap now. New fuel and water pump. Oh yeah I have also read and heard that Mavericks with the column shift are pretty much impossible to install headers on? Mine is a 302/C4 automatic. Iam open to all suggestions. I need all of the help and advise I can get. Thanks in advance Jerryd
Ebay is a good place to shop for rims, as long as you know exactly the spec's you want. Any glass place should be able to order you a new windshield, there are some options for door panels, and dash pad covers, no new dash pads are made. Doug Thorley shorty headers will work with a column shift.
Thank you. Everywhere I have called about a windshield they want like $300 and that is with me supplying the gasket (which I now have). As far as the wheels go I will do alot of research because it will take a while to save the money for them but from what I can tell is for the wheels (front/back) to look "even" the back wheels will require less backspace and/or I also need to have different widths on the front/back? Does most Maver's do the pad cover? If so is there a certain company that does them better? I think I will do something creative with the panels...shouldn't be too hard (jinx) And Thorley headers....got it Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I see alot of your posts when I am surfing around researching and what not. Jerry
You'll find with Mavericks, the supply of parts is limited. Most parts are made by one supplier, no matter who sells them, they are usually the same part. Dash pad covers are pretty common, they use to be all over Ebay, but they were all made by the same company. $300, for a new windshield isn't a bad price. I'm here to help, where I can.
