at what speed does a c-4 shift down when coming to a stop mine shifts down around 35 mph seems kinda to fast for my taste ,also where is the best place to hook the modulator valve line.mine is attached TO THE CARB

I'm guessing the speed would differ depending on your gears but it should ( far as I know ) be hooked to full manifold vac. So hooking to the carb is fine as long as its the lower vac port and not the upper timed one.

well that might be my problem then.the hose is connected to the upper vac port! Can you plumb it to the intake itself?by the way I have 3.00 gears and 275-60 rear tires ,I just did a cam and intake swap and the intake I went to is the edelbrock performer and the previous one was the rpm intake I switched intakes because I need the rpm for another maverick and this car is more mild with a rv cam so the performer was a better match

Yeah you can run it off of the manifold. If memory serves the stock setup on the 2bl intakes had that crazy christmas tree vac dealio sticking off the back of the manifold and thats where the modulator got its vac from.

ALWAYS plumb the trans modulator into direct vacuum source... Every Ford factory setup I've seen used the intake, though there were some goofy dual setups with two vac ports that plumbed one line vac to ported vac... I always plugged that crap off and connected direct vac to modulator...
