Just wondering what you guys are running?

I got my roller motor full dressed minus accessories so i'm king of lost.

I know the water pump is reverse rotation so i'm trying to figure out how to run it all.
I just want to run crank pulley, water pump, and alternator.

Is there a setup out there someone is using with an idler pulley on the driver side of the engine to use the reverse rotation pump?

    Thanks

ive seen people run a belt from the crank to the alt using a fox alternator bracket. the belt will run across a portion of the water pump. i think to put the belt on and tension it they undo the upper alternator mount bolt and loosen the lower so the alt swivels down. then put the belt on and pry it back up and put the bolt in. ive seen this on drag cars, havent seen it done on the street.

Do the math for cost of the conversion. It might be the same as a CW rotation pump......just a thought.

Yeah I'm starting to think that lol. I'd have to do the timing cover as well I believe.

I'm also considering just putting an idler pulley on the driver side head and making a mount for it.
That way I have a point there I can wrap the belt back through and drive the pump the correct way.

That and a march alternator bracket so I can tension it.

I have run mine a couple different ways. First way had manual steering, and I used the dead A/C compressor as an "idler".

Since then I have purchased the A/C delete kit and added power rack and pinion.

Lol not really. I'm considering buying the march alternator bracket and just running the 3 pulleys and having the alternator in the upper position so it will also drive the water pump belt.

Read a few guys doing that and only having an inch of belt contact with no issues.

Depends on what timing cover you've got now.

Id have to search for numbers on it to look it up. But as far as i can see its a roller water pump so I think its easier for me just to try and figure out the serpentine setup to drive it reverse flow.
I already drilled for the front sump dipstick location and all that.

I have the march alternator bracket coming so hopefully with it in the upper postition I get enough contact on the bottom of the pulley for the water pump to drive it without any issues.

    Time will tell.

Thanks for all the help guys.
