Do you still have the VIN? Maybe check our VIN List... http://www.mmb.maverick.to/threads/...r-to-someone-elses.61672/page-43#post-1030437
WOW, you ran 11.40 on a factory head 302? I notice the 12.75:1 and mechanical roller, may I ask how did you get that compression and what the lift/duration was on that cam? This is NOT a doubting smart ass, I believe you just want to know what it requires to do that, also what gears were you running and what trans/stall? Thanks
Let me see if I can remember the specs. Block was a seriously decked Mexican. Speed Pro Soap Bar forged pistons. Carrilo rods. Cast crank. Heads were small chambered 67 or 68 GT's. Big valves.... Comp did the cam @ .50 it was 260-270 ish...700 lift. JPT in Michigan did the C-4 with 5500 converter. Currie 9" with 4:11's.
Ohhhhh, when you said OEM heads I was thinking something else entirely, and decking helps explain that compression with pistons, I take it your missing her? can't blame you
I believe member Jimmy2gates http://mmb.maverick.to/members/jimmy2gates.6494/ on here bought your car back then and then he put it up for sale in 2012: http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/1971-maverick-grabber-blue-thunder.83750/
I could swear that the car never sold and Jimmy's ex-girlfriend ended up selling it(or trying to) less than a year ago.
Her screen name is Grabbergirl719 and she sold the car in March 2014. http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/1970-maverick-grabber-clone.98258/
Thanks guys...I e-mailed Jimmy. I reluctantly sold the car to pursue another hobby. I no longer live in Washinton state. My wife and I moved to Nashville and my other hobby has been fun. I gave up cars for guitars and now I have the high octane itch again.
