Will a grabber spoiler fit a 1970? Or are some years different I am looking at one and it needs a fair bit of repair. Can you weld on these or will I have to use something else to fix the cracks ? Anyone have any idea, thanks guys

It should fit, you will have to drill the holes in the deck lid and as for the cracks I would use fiberglass on them

It will fit and like it was said, the middle section needs to have holes drilled in the deck lid for the fasteners that hold it down. However, that middle section is a composite that is a cousin to fiberglass, and a better repair medium is panel adhesive. A fiberglass repair may not turn out as well or hold up as long. Same thing for the Comet GT hood scoop.

Welding would not be an option.

The endcaps for the rear spoiler are metal and bolt in place of the originals.

I drilled the 4 holes in my original 70 trunk lid using a 1 inch hole saw and the spoiler bolted up just fine - someone on the board has a template to do this :)

Or, you can exchange the trunk lid with the spoiler already attached. Just have to swap end caps and you are through.
