I know 2 door Mavericks are known for being lightweight so I'm just curious what the overall weight difference between 2 door Mavericks and 4 doors is? To make the best comparison lets say they're both stock 1975s with the 250ci engine, automatic trans, big bumpers and everything else that would be common between the 2 without mods.

I will guess v8 engine weight, plus rear door internals ,and hinges. Should be a couple hundred more ,extra pounds.

Well that's an unexpected number. I would've guessed to be more like a couple hundred at least, like Eastern Raider said.

Correct, equipped identically it's about 100lbs... A big bumper 2dr with 302, PS, PB, AC and C4 is gonna out weigh a '72 4dr stripper with 200 and three on the tree by close to 200lb...
