Hi all. New to here. I got a75 comet, turning it into a73 GT clone with the power train out of a 89 5.0 with the 5spd tranny. The problem I'm having is this; seems to me the engine is sitting on too much of a angle. I'm about to cut the traany hump out but everything I read says it's not needed. Doesn't the engine need to sit a little more level?

Hi all. Need to tap into all the knowledge out there. Confused. Got a 75 comet. Installing a 5.0, 5spd out of a 1989 stang. Problem I'm having is this. The engine is sitting on a angle. About to chop out my tranny hump, but everything I read days it's not needed. Isn't the engine on too much of an angle? Won't affect oil pressure?

The brace tying the frame rails together is part of the structural integrity. It was put there on propose. If it wasn't needed then Ford wouldn't had wasted time and money designing/manufacturing/installing them on unibody automobiles

Engine should set with a very slight rearward tilt, if not the U-joints will be in a bind and you'll get lots of first hand experience on replacement...
