Posting up markings I found on the pcm I bought. Supposidely a 90 gt mad car......the codes worry me.

    Tag is gone.
    Markings are:
    E4lb-14a459-b
That's on the plastic where the harness would plug in.....
E4 to me means 84.....uh oh

That's the engineering number for plug, about all EEC-IV PCM have same number...

Without the tag, no idea what it's for....

The o2 sensor harness is separate, plugs into a round 4pin connector at rear of engine...

Does harness have a MAF connector??

The casting number does indicates 1984, but that does not mean that that part was not still used in 1990. The stamping could also just be for the plastic harness connector, and not the ECM itself. ECM base numbers are usually 12a650 not 14a459.

There is a way to approx date any electronic device, from date code on components...

Here is pict of PCM in my '93 Lightning(sold)... I was focusing on leaking capacitor(that I replaced) but notice IC in lower left bottom, last line ends with 9240.. That is year(1992) and week(40th) the part was produced, impossible to been installed in say 1990... Not all major parts will have dates but probably at least 50% will be dated...
