Here is a link to one that may interest you? I purchased it last fall, haven't had a chance to use it yet. I think it will work gud for our type suspension, though I have not used it yet.

Is there an advantage to using 5/16" brake line over 1/4"? Like maybe an easier pedal to push, or more travel of the slave cylinder?

not that i know of. i guess it could allow for a larger volume of fluid to move through the system faster. i dont think its needed.

What kind of linkage is he trying to use? The T5 bell housing release fork has to be pulled towards the front, traditional mechanical linkage pushes the fork towards the rear.

that spacer block they talk about is that to be used only if you have the z bar set up or with a cable system only. Thanks for the help Bob

Use the spacer with a z-bar setup AND an old bell housing. Later stock-type diaphragm pressure plates are shorter than the original Long-style pressure plates our cars originally came with so the release fork pivot point has to be moved closer to the pressure plate to keep the linkage geometry correct. All you need to do is get an aluminum or steel block and drill a couple holes in it to make a spacer. In my case, I have z-bar linkage but I used a CenterForce diaphragm clutch that is a taller, exact replacement for the earlier clutch. No spacer needed. But I'm using an old bell housing where the release fork gets pushed to the rear.

As mentioned up in post #21 a T5 bell housing, where the fork pivot point is at the far end of the fork, needs to have the release fork move forward. This is usually done with a cable or hydraulic cylinder.

Cables will stretch and they will break...if it doesn't burn in two on the exhaust first. You will need to modify and install a quadrant on the pedal and hope it doesn't hit the bottom of the cowl if you go with cable. You will also need to use a diaphragm pressure plate with a cable. If you have room then I would stay with the factory mechanical linkage because for some reason or another it will fit right out of the box like it was made to fit your car and then you can use either a diaphragm or long style pressure plate.

The factory fork will work. If you need a new fork buy a McLeod #16934. Any Mustang Vendor should have the z-bar ball and spacer. The t5 bellhousing is deeper so you will need the spacer block to relocate the fork closer to the pressure plate. Mount the spacer 1" from the edge of the opening. You can use any style pressure plate.
